Gregory Bied was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He grew up playing baseball and has rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers since the day he was born. His first job was at 10 years old when he took over the local paper route in Van Nuys, California to deliver the Valley News and Green Sheet six mornings a week before the school bell rang. Gregory continued to work various jobs throughout middle and upper school and graduated High School with Honors.
Gregory graduated from Cal State University, Northridge in 1988 and was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He received a BS in Business Administration with double focus on Finance and Real Estate. Upon graduating, he passed the California Real Estate Broker License Exam and has actively held his Broker’s license for nearly 30 years. He entered the mortgage business after college and immediately become manager of a local mortgage broker’s office at the age of 24. Gregory left the mortgage business in 1990 to accept a job with Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette on the Pacific Stock Exchange in Los Angeles. He transferred to San Francisco and then to New York City in 1992. He worked for several hedge funds, and finally in 1997, he started his own Fund.
In 2002, Gregory married his true love. They moved to Boise, Idaho in 2005, where they enjoy the beautiful outdoors with their three young children. Gregory left the hedge fund business in 2014 and now helps small and medium sized businesses solve their financing needs.
