Summer News Update

We’ve had a busy summer here at Pinnacle Capital! Our team has been hard at work helping businesses near and far finance their capital needs to build and grow their business. Here are a few updates from the Pinnacle team that we’d like to share with our community.

We’re Moving Offices!
Our company has been expanding over the past few years, and we have outgrown our current office space. We will still be located in the heart of Tacoma, and our new space is off “A” Street across from the State Farm building. In this new location, our team will have more space in which to grow and collaborate. We are hoping to be fully moved in by October and will keep you updated as we get closer to the actual move date..

Meet Our New Team Members

We’ve added a few new staff members to the Pinnacle family. These new team members will be huge assets to our company, and will help our clients be able to continue to grow their businesses. Meet our new team members, Gregory Bied, Steve Fenton, and John Pavolka.

Gregory Bied was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He grew up playing baseball and has rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers since the day he was born. Gregory graduated from Cal State University, Northridge in 1988 with a B.S. in Business Administration with double focus on Finance and Real Estate. He worked as a real estate broker, until he joined Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette on the Pacific Stock Exchange in Los Angeles in 1990. He transferred to San Francisco and then to New York City in 1992. He worked for several hedge funds, and finally in 1997, he started his own fund. In 2002, Gregory married his true love. They moved to Boise, Idaho in 2005, where they enjoy the beautiful outdoors with their three young children. Gregory left the hedge fund business in 2014 and now helps small and medium sized businesses solve their financing needs.

Steve Fenton joined Pinnacle in October of 2016 with the primary task of developing strategic partnerships with banks and credit unions. A 15-year veteran of both business and commercial banking, Steve has developed and maintained strategic relationships within the business lending community. A keen understanding of the various challenges involved in small business lending has empowered Steve to routinely provide financing solutions for bank and credit union clientele. Steve currently lives in University Place, WA with his wife and three children. Steve enjoys backyard BBQs with family and friends, playing catch with the boys, family movie night, and the occasional fine cigar!

John Pavolka was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington State University in May, 2017. John received the James Huber Memorial Entrepreneur Scholarship while at WSU, a scholarship designed to recognize and encourage entrepreneurs in the Carson College of Business. His entrepreneurial attitude inspires him to think outside the box in creating desired results. John joined Pinnacle Capital Partners in June of 2017. He specializes in business development with an emphasis in equipment finance and working capital. A fifth generation Tacoma local, he plans on using and developing his strong and diverse community network as a tool in aiding his book of business. In his spare time, you can find John outdoors in the Pacific Northwest with his family and friends.
